Sealed proposals for Code Enforcement Lawn Mowing Services will be received at the Village of North Aurora, Attn: Michael Toth, 25 East State Street, North Aurora, Illinois 60542, until 12:00 p.m., March 14, 2016.
Proposals will be publically opened and read aloud at the above stated time and place.

2016 STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
Sealed BIDS for the 2016 STREET IMPROVEMENTS will be received by the Village of North Aurora at the Village Hall until 10:00 A.M. (Local Time), on the 16th day of March, 2016, and then at said office and time, publicly opened and read aloud.
The proposed improvements consist of reconstruction of Hansen Drive. Overland Lane, Airport Road, John Street, Dee Street, Banbury Road and Ridge Lane. Improvements include hot-mix asphalt removal, earth excavation, curb and gutter removal, sidewalk removal, hot-mix asphalt pavement construction, concrete curb and gutter construction, sidewalk construction ,storm sewer construction, storm sewer cleaning and televising, aggregate base course construction, subgrade repairs and parkway restoration at locations shown on the Plans in the Village of North Aurora. The project also includes a list of sidewalk program locations to remove and replace failed sidewalk.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined and obtained at the office of the Engineer, Rempe Sharpe and Associates, Inc., 324 West State Street, Geneva, Illinois beginning February 8, 2016. A deposit of $30.00 non refundable, will be required for each set of plans and bidding documents obtained. All bidders must be IDOT pre-qualified.
All BIDS shall be submitted on the forms provided, and shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and Certificate of Apprenticeship Training by DOL-BAT.
The Village of North Aurora reserves the right to reject any and or all Bids, to waive any irregularities and informalities. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder as determined by the Village of North Aurora.
All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply to the contract throughout, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects 39s-1-12) and the Illinois Preference Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sects. 2201-2207). Federal labor standards and prevailing wage rates will apply to portions of this project. Minorities and Women Owned Businesses (MBE/WBE) are encouraged to submit bids on this Project.
