If you are renting a property and need to start water service in your name you provide a valid photo I.D. and a copy of your lease in order to establish service. These items may be brought in person to Village Hall or emailed to utility billing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fox Metro Water Reclamation District or the City of Batavia services the sewer. The Village of North Aurora will forward the information to Fox Metro once your water service is established. If you are in the City of Batavia service area you will need to contact the City of Batavia at (630) 454-2000 to establish service.
Water Billing Payment Options
Online: North Aurora residents and businesses can now sign up to receive their water bill information via email, opt out of paper statements, and pay their bill on-line. With this feature customers can view past account history on-line in graphical format, review account activity and billing details, register more than one account, and make credit card payments using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and also by E-check. Users can make one-time payments or set up auto-pay using a credit or debit card. To register, go to https://northaurora.merchanttransact.com. In-Person / Mail: Water bills may be paid by cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) in person at the Village Hall located at 25 E. State St. during business hours. Payments made by check or money order can be placed in the payment drop box located at the main entrance to the Village Hall at any time. Please do NOT place cash in the drop box.
Direct Debit: The Village of North Aurora also offers direct debit payments for your water bill. To register for the direct debit program please complete the direct debit application and mail it in with a voided check. The Village will debit your payment from your checking account on the bill due date. Residential and commercial customers are billed on a bimonthly basis. Bills are due 30 days after the bill date. After 30 days a 10% late fee will be assessed. Signing up for Direct Debit will ensure the timeliness of your payment and eliminate any late fees.
The Village of North Aurora will disconnect water service and/or file a lien against the property for accounts the become 45 days delinquent. If your service is disconnected the entire account balance, including fees and penalties, must be paid in order to restore service.
