Officer Robyn Stecklein Named Illinois Triad 2022 Kathleen Quin Award Recipient

Congratulations to North Aurora Police Department Officer Robyn Stecklein for being named the Illinois Triad 2022 Kathleen Quinn Award recipient!

Officer Stecklein
Officer Robyn Stecklein with (from Left to Right) Deputy Chief Joe Gorski, Mayor Mark Gaffino and Chief Joe DeLeo.

The Kathleen Quinn Award was established in 2011 to honor the work that Kathleen Quinn had done over three decades to advocate for victims of abuse and neglect in the State of Illinois and across the country.

The purpose of this award is to highlight an individual’s ability to bring numerous organizations and disciplines together to share their knowledge, resources, and expertise to offer victims the best of all services.

Officer Stecklein was nominated by Jen Huber of Asbury Gardens / Southeast Kane County Triad, who had these inspiring words to say about Officer Stecklein:

“Officer Stecklein has always been an active member as part of our Triad through the past 15 plus years that I’ve been a part of the Triad. Officer Stecklein has held various positions in our Southeast Kane County Triad as our Treasurer, Vice-President, and most recently this past year as our President.

Robyn’s dedication goes beyond Triad by what she does for the community she serves as part of the North Aurora Police Department; with special attention to all the seniors whose lives she’s touched. Robyn plays an active role in making sure the seniors in not only North Aurora, but Aurora and the surrounding cities are safe and aware of any frauds or scams that may be occurring. Robyn knows all the seniors in her North Aurora community, and they know that they can always come to her if they need anything. This also spills out into the community of seniors that our Triad serves as well in the surrounding cities.

Whether it’s a frauds and scams presentation she’s giving at Senior Services, or to a senior living facility, Coffee with the Chief at Asbury Gardens, and various community events, Robyn always gives 110% to whatever she’s doing.  Robyn has been a driving force for our Southeast Kane County Triad and she’s always thinking of new and innovative ways we can reach the seniors in our community and spread the word about Triad. Robyn is also very active in volunteering in the community with the Lions Club, North Aurora Days, CERT, Safe Kids and that’s just to name a few.

Southeast Kane County Triad and all of us that know Robyn are so lucky to have her to work with. Robyn is most deserving of this award for her dedication and devotion for making sure seniors are safe and protected. As an officer, “To protect and serve” is what Robyn lives her life by every day.”

We could not agree more! Congratulations, Officer Stecklein, on a very much deserved honor!
