The Village of North Aurora is currently experiencing drought conditions due to the high heat and the lack of rain.
We would like to remind residents of the Village’s watering restrictions for automatic watering and lawn sprinkling, which are from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and based upon your address. All properties with even-numbered street addresses may water on even-numbered days of the month; and all properties with odd-numbered street addresses may water on odd-numbered days of the month.
The Village of North Aurora’s watering restrictions are in place as a continual water conservation measure within the Village. Residents *can* use hand-held watering devices at any time. In addition to the watering restrictions in place, we ask that residents please support the water system by only watering as needed. Our Code Enforcement Division will be out and about to help remind residents and enforce these watering restrictions.
If the drought continues for a prolonged period further watering restrictions may be added.
You can view the ordinance and additional information on our website here: http://northaurora.org/departments/water/restrictions.aspx
Your efforts to help conserve the Village water supply are appreciated!
