Messenger Library North Aurora to Close September 16th and 17th For Parking Lot Resurfacing

Starting Tuesday, September 3rd and through the month of September, Messenger Public Library staff and at times patrons will have to park in the Church parking lot located just to the west of the library as temporary parking due to an ongoing parking lot resurfacing project.

The project work will start August 29th and will run with its substantial completion by October 8th.

The Messenger Public Library (113 Oak St.) will need to be closed entirely for two consecutive days on Monday, September 16th, and Tuesday, September 17th, due to the entrance driveway and parking lots being resurfaced in their entirety. The north emergency driveway will also be regraded and redone with new granite gravel.

All of this is weather permitting the work to be done.

An Alternate (or rain day(s)) are the following Monday and Tuesday, September 23rd and 24th.

The Library Board thanks everyone for their patience and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this may temporarily cause our library patrons. The safety of our employees and our patrons are of paramount concern during the duration of this project.

For further information on this project please contact the Library Administrator Kevin Davis at 630-896-0240 or via email at Director@messengerpl.org. Visit the Library website for further information at messengerpl.org.
