The Arbor Day Foundation has named North Aurora a 2018 Tree City U.S.A. and awarded us a Growth Award in honor of our commitment to effective urban forest management, environmental improvement and higher level tree care. North Aurora achieved this recognition by meeting the program’s requirements, including a Proclamation and observance of Arbor Day in North Aurora.
North Aurora is proud to be named a Tree City U.S.A. and wants to remind the community of the many benefits that trees provide. Trees improve the visual appeal of a neighborhood, increase property values, reduce home cooling costs, remove air pollutants and provide a habitat for wildlife, among may other benefits.
