VILLAGE OF NORTH AURORA
POLICE COMMISSION MEETING
June 21, 2021 at 18:00hrs.
CALL TO ORDER
A motion was presented to commence with the 2nd Quarter 2021 open meeting of the Village of North Aurora Police Commission by Commissioner Hatchet and a second motion was made by Chairperson Jungels; the meeting commenced at 18:01 hrs. – All in favor.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners present: Chairperson Phil Jungels, Commissioner Brian Reid and Commissioner Lisa Hatchet.
Old Business
- Approve meeting minutes from the 1st Quarter open Police Commission meeting held on 21-Jan-2021. All present in favor.
- No other Old Business.
New Business
- The Commissioners discussed scheduling of the NAPD Sergeant exam with a tentative date of September 11, 2021 at 09:00 hrs. at the North Aurora Police Department headquarters to be administered by C.O.P.S. – All in favor of the proposed date.
- The Commissioners discussed the scheduling of the oral Assessments of the qualified Police Sergeant candidates to be held on 28-Sep.-2021 and 15-Oct-2021 with a time to be determined. Seven interviews will be scheduled per day with C.O.P.S. completing the individual candidate assessments. There are five (5) candidates that have currently applied for this position. The NAPD Commissioners will be present to observe the assessments. All in favor of the proposed dates.
- No other new business.
Adjournment
A motion was made by Chairperson Jungels Reid to adjourn the open meeting, this motion was seconded by Commissioner Hatchet; all in favor – Motion Approved. The Open Meeting adjourned at 18:23 hrs.
