AUDIENCE COMMENTS
Marie Moulton, 980 Martinson Court, North Aurora, IL – Ms. Moulton addressed the Board regarding the 70-foot utility poles at White Oak and Orchard Road. Moulton said that residents are fearful of the danger of the poles and that the issue might be forgotten now that it is in the hands of the County. Moulton said that these poles as well as others in the community should be buried underground. Village President Hansen said that the item would not be forgotten and that Kane County Commissioner Jim Mitchell is working with KDOT and is very concerned about the issue. There will be a meeting of KDOT personnel, Commissioner Mitchell and Village Staff to search for resolutions to this problem.

PUBLIC HEARING – Annexation of a Strip of Land North of I-88 between Randall Road and Orchard Road.

Village President Hansen opened the Public Hearing.

Atty. Drendel said there are two parcels. One is a tapering piece immediately north of
I-88 that was cut off from the southern parcel. Just north of that is another strip that is 57.75 feet wide that also runs the length along I-88. Since the properties are surrounded completely by one or more municipalities, the Village can annex by “surroundment”. Atty. Drendel said that an Ordinance is ready to be passed if the Board agrees.

There were no public comments. Village President Hansen closed the Public Hearing.
