VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 3, 2014

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Berman called the meeting to order.

ROLL CALL
In attendance: Mayor Dale Berman, Trustee Laura Curtis, Trustee Mike Lowery, Trustee Chris Faber, Trustee Mark Gaffino, Trustee Mark Guethle, Village Clerk Lori Murray. Not in attendance: Trustee Ryan Lambert.

Staff in attendance: Village Administrator Steven Bosco, Finance Director Bill Hannah, Economic and Community Development Director Mike Toth, Village Attorney Kevin Drendel, Public Works Superintendent Mike Glock, Water Superintendent Paul Young.

CONSENT AGENDA

1. Approval of a Resolution Recognizing the Formation of the North Aurora Citizen Corps Council1
Motion for approval made by Trustee Guethle and seconded by Trustee Gaffino. Roll Call Vote: Trustee Guethle – yes, Trustee Gaffino – yes, Trustee Curtis – yes, Trustee Lowery – yes, Trustee Curtis – yes. Motion approved (5-0).

2. Approval of an Ordinance Amending the North Aurora Village Code Section 5.08.350 by Decreasing the Number of Class A Liquor Licenses Authorized in the Village of North Aurora

3. Approval of an Ordinance, Vacation Agreement and Vacation Plat; Vacating the Portion of Grant Street Adjacent to the Property located at 149 Grant Street

4. Approval of a Resolution Acknowledging the Completion of Certain Public Improvements, Beginning the One Year Maintenance Period and Reducing Letter of Credit No. IS0101306U for the North Aurora Towne Centre
Motion for approval made by Trustee Guethle and seconded by Trustee Curtis. Roll Call Vote: Trustee Guethle – yes, Trustee Gaffino – yes, Trustee Faber – yes, Trustee Curtis – yes, Trustee Lowery – yes. Motion approved (5-0).

5. Approval of Partial Pay Request No. 2 in the amount of $8,476.12 to Builders Paving, LLC d/b/a Hardin Paving Services for the Offutt and Lovedale Lane Improvements; and Approval of a Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $2,549.92

OLD BUSINESS – None

VILLAGE PRESIDENT REPORT
Mayor Berman asked for the appointment of three new NOARDA board of directors: Jessica Watkins, Renee Rivecco and Jan Behnke. Motion for approval made by Trustee Guethle and seconded by Trustee Lowery. Voice Vote – yes – unanimous.

COMMITTEE REPORTS – None

TRUSTEE COMMENTS
Trustee Gaffino commended Chief Summer and the police department for the police department building. Gaffino said it still looks new and still looks like a brand new building.

Mayor Berman commended the Mike Glock and his department for the snow removal this season. Trustee Guethle noted that it was a nice message left by a resident regarding her appreciation of the work that has been done with the snow removal in North Aurora.
