MONDAY JULY 3RD – Fireworks and Concerts – Updated Parking and Traffic Information

Fireworks will be held at Riverfront Park, behind the North Aurora Village Hall on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks are sponsored by the Village of North Aurora.
Festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Tyer Sjorstrom playing accoustic folk music and Felix and Fingers performing Dueling Pianos from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The concerts are co-sponsored by the North Aurora River District Alliance (NOARDA) and the Village of North Aurora.
BYOB will be allowed in Riverfront Park, however, liquor will only be allowed in the designated areas during the event. The village hall parking lot will be closed, with the exception of a limited number of handicap parking, to allow for viewing of fireworks.
The Fox River trail will be shut down on the east side of the river between State Street and the Red Oak Nature Center, beginning in the afternoon, for this event. Residents in the proximity may want to bike or walk to the park, as parking will be limited.
Please note, there will be no parking at the North Aurora Village Hall. Please utilize the following areas for parking: Public parking is available in the two park district lots on the east and west side of the river (south side of State Street); the public parking lot to the west of Harner’s parking lot, and also at the old Activity Center location, at the corner of Route 31/Lincolnway and State Street.
