Lottery for Library Trustee Positions

Dear Candidates:
This official notice is to inform you that the Village of North Aurora will be holding a lottery to determine ballot order as two or more petitions were filed simultaneously at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 for the same office of Library Trustee for the Consolidated Primary Election on April 4, 2017.
The Lottery will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. at the North Aurora Village Hall Administration office and will consist of a drawing for the office of Library Trustee.
The order in which the numbers are picked will indicate the ballot placement for that candidate. Each candidate has been assigned a number, alphabetically, for the lottery to be drawn for the office for which they filed (as noted below):
Candidates who filed a petition at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 for the office of Library Trustee have been assigned the following number for the lottery:
1. Berley, Tanya
2. Hicks, James
3. Middleton, William
All Candidates who filed a petition after 8:00 a.m. on December 12, 2016, (and who are not part of this lottery) will be listed on the ballot following the candidates whose ballot order will be determined by this lottery, based on the date and time they filed their petition during the official filing period.
This Lottery Notice is posted at the Village Hall in accordance with the Election Rules.
