The strike at the quarries has ended and Geneva Construction has notified that they plan to start prepping the streets for the placing the asphalt surface on Thursday, July 28th. This will include street sweeping followed by placing the tack coat. On Saturday, they plan to place asphalt surface on Wingfoot (Oak Crest to Columbia), Doral (Wingfoot to Wingfoot), Spyglass, followed by Augusta if time allows.
On Monday, they plan to continue placing the asphalt surface course and continuing to pave each day of the week, weather permitting. The streets planned for the week are: Fairfield, Greenbrier, Derby, Aster, Winterberry, Meadow, Hartfield, Hart, Woodlawn, Columbia, Wingfoot (W. Columbia to Hart). If time and progress allows, they will then place surface on Doral (Wingfoot to Hammer), Hammer, and Pinecreek.
