Chestnut Street, Locust Street, & Spruce Street Water Main and Street Improvement Project

This week the contractor completed the concrete removals on one side of each of the three streets.  They also poured the concrete curb on the side of the street that it had been removed.

Next week, the contractor is planning to complete the concrete driveways and concrete sidewalk that has been removed.  The also plan to complete the asphalt aprons that have been removed.

2023 Road Program

This week the contractor completed concrete curb and sidewalk removals on the remainder of the project.  They poured the concrete curb on the majority of Chesterfield Ln (east of Pine Creek), Flynn Ct., and part of Hamilton Ln. (east of Pine Creek).  Also, the majority of sidewalk on Johnson Ct., Stewart Ave., Thompson Ave., Harding Ct., Gorham Ct., and Erickson Ct. was poured.   They completed most of the asphalt apron restorations on Johnson Ct., Stewart Ave., Thompson Ave., Harding Ct., Gorham Ct., and Erickson Ct.  Any remaining on these streets is planned for Monday.  The contractor’s landscaper also began placing, topsoil, grass seed, and erosion control blanket on Friday on Johnson Ct., Schneider Ct., and Stewart Ave.

On Saturday, the contractor is planning on pouring the remaining sidewalk on Johnson Ct., Stewart Ave., Thompson Ave., Harding Ct., Gorham Ct., and Erickson Ct as well as concrete curb on Hamilton Ln. (east of Pine Creek), Chesterfield Ln. (east of Pine Creek), and Graham Rd.    The landscaper will also be doing grass restoration along Stewart Ave., Thompson Ave., Harding Ct., Gorham Ct., and Erickson Ct.

Next week, the contractor will continue pouring concrete curb and sidewalk on Graham Rd., Hamilton Ln. (east of Pine Creek) and Chesterfield (east of Pine Creek).  They then will pour curb on Hamilton Ln. and Chesterfield Ln. west of Pine Creek.  Early next week they will be completing the asphalt apron restorations on Chesterfield Ln (east of Pine Creek), Flynn Ct., Hamilton Ln. (east of Pine Creek), and Graham Rd.  They will continue following behind the concrete crews.  The landscaper will also be continuing behind the concrete crews completing the grass restoration.

Beginning Monday, the contractor will also be starting the asphalt roadway pavement removal beginning at Schneider Ct., Johnson Ct., Stewart Ave., Thompson Ave., Harding Ct., Gorham Ct., and Erickson Ct which will take them the first couple of days of the week.  Followed by asphalt roadway removal on Pine Creek Dr.  Driveway access will be fully restored prior to them starting the pavement removal on the streets.  During the removal process, the road will remain open to traffic, there just may be some short delays.  After the pavement has been removed, the contractor will be prepping and repairing the stone base.  They are planning on placing the first layer of asphalt roadway pavement on Thursday and Friday going in generally the same order as the roadway pavement is removed.  The road will also remain open to traffic during the paving operations but there may be short delays accessing parts of the street at times.
