Chestnut Street, Locust Street, & Spruce Street Water Main and Street Improvement Project

This week Geneva Construction’s subcontractor, Holiday Sewer & Water Construction, began mobilizing to the project site and staging materials.  Geneva Construction completed saw cutting of concrete and asphalt in preparation for the water main excavation.

On Monday, the Contractor is planning to begin the water main installation on Locust Street starting in the intersection of Hickory Street.  Each day next week they plan to continue to install water main moving west along Locust.

They plan to have a second crew to begin replacing storm sewer along Locust following the water main crew and installing the water valves for Chestnut and Spruce in the Hickory intersections.

The Contractor will give advance notice to any residents that will have driveway access disrupted for parts of the workday.
