This week Geneva Construction completed the remaining asphalt roadway pavement removal on Pinecreek. They completed the first layer of asphalt on Doral, Dewig, Slaker, Hammer, Matthias and the majority of Pinecreek. They also completed the surface layer (final layer) of asphalt on Turnberry, Coghill, Clark, Cantigny, and Oak Crest.
Landscape restoration was substantially completed throughout the project, there are a few locations that they have missed that they will be returning to complete. They are also planning to begin restoring any brick pavers removed during construction next week.
On Monday, Geneva Construction is planning on finishing the remainder of the first layer of asphalt on Pinecreek, which is the last section to get the first layer within the project.
There is currently a labor dispute occurring at the local aggregate production facilities. Due to not having aggregate available, the asphalt plant is expecting to run out of material after Monday of next week. Until the labor dispute is resolved, the placement of the surface layer of asphalt is going to be delayed.
Once the asphalt plant has material to again start production, the contractor is planning on placing the asphalt surface on Wingfoot, Columbia, Hart, and Woodlawn. Followed by Augusta, Greenbrier, Aster, Winterberry, and Meadow.
Streets and driveways will remain accessible throughout the duration of the paving of the streets. There may be minor delays accessing driveways when the paving is happening directly in front of your driveway.
Additional work may take place on other streets not listed above at the contractors’ discretion.
