Applications are available beginning June 1, 2015 at the North Aurora Police Department located at 200 S. Lincolnway, North Aurora, Illinois 60542 OR using the links provided below. A $40.00 non-refundable administrative fee will be due from each applicant when he/she arrives for testing on Saturday, July 18th, 2015.
The North Aurora Police Department, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is testing to establish a Police Officer Eligibility List with qualified, professional individuals interested in a career in law enforcement. Police Officers are responsible for enforcing all State and Local Laws and upholding the U.S. and Illinois Constitution.
The North Aurora Police Department provides policing services to over 16,000 residents within our 10 square mile community. The department is proactive, working aggressively and consistently to identify and resolve problems and other issues to improve the quality of life within our community. Patrol officers are assigned to neighborhoods and have primary responsibility for working with the residents to address neighborhood issues and solve problems. Officers hold quarterly meetings with their resident group to share police and crime activity in their area, listen to neighborhood concerns, and teach people how to better protect themselves from crime. Officers are also responsible for getting to know their assigned area, its residents, and its businesses.
