North Aurora, IL – The North Aurora Police Department will be hosting an Open House & Community Picnic on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from noon until 3:00 p.m. at our station, 200 S. Lincolnway.
This all-ages event is free to North Aurora residents and will feature food, games & activities, and tours of the station. There will be opportunities to meet officers, supervisors, and command staff and to learn about programs and services that the police department offers.
“This is a great opportunity to become more familiar with our dedicated police officers. I could not be more proud of how they represent the best of North Aurora,” said Village President Dale Berman. “Food, games, and conversation. It will be a great day for our Village.”
The police department is hosting this event to help foster better relationships with members of the community and give them their first view inside the police station since the grand opening in September, 2010.
“It is hard to believe it has been 5 years since we moved in to our new building. We’d love to have our residents come out to enjoy a picnic with our police officers and to tour our facility,” said Chief of Police David Summer.
