VILLAGE OF NORTH AURORA
POLICE COMMISSION MEETING
April 15, 2022 at 19:00hrs.
CALL TO ORDER
A motion was presented to commence with the 2nd Quarter 2022 open meeting of the Village of North Aurora Police Commission by Commissioner Hatchet and a second motion was made by Chairperson Jungels; the meeting commenced at 19:03 hrs. – All in favor.
ROLL CALL
Commissioners present: Chairperson Phil Jungels, Commissioner Brian Reid and Commissioner Lisa Hatchet.
Old Business
1. Approve meeting minutes from the 1st Qt. open Police Commission meeting held 2022 held on 24-Jan-2022 and closed NAPD Police Commission meetings held 23-Mar-2022 and 01-Apr-2022. All present in favor.
2. The Commissioners approved the Patrol Officer Eligibility List as of 15-Apr-2022 until 15-May-2022. All present in favor.
3. The Commissioners approved a conditional offer of employment to Jeffrey Cook as of 15-Apr2022. All present in favor.
4. NAPD Chief DeLeo has requested appointment of a Certified Officer from the current eligibility list for 2022 –All present in favor.
5. No other Old Business.
New Business
1. Offer of employment to be presented to Patrol Officer Candidate Jeffrey Cook #1 on 2022 Patrol Officer Candidate List (2022). All in Favor.
2. All applicants on Patrol Officer Candidate Eligibility List (2022) will need to validate their preference points by 15-May-2022. All in favor.
3. Chief DeLeo has requested a 2nd Certified Officer, pending preference points, for Bryan Reyes, upon validation of preference points. All in favor.
4. No other new business.
Adjournment
A motion was made by Commissioner Reid to adjourn the open meeting, this motion was seconded by Commissioner Hatchet; all in favor – Motion Approved. The Open Meeting adjourned at 19:20 hrs.
