Monday, June 3, 2024

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Gaffino called the meeting to order.

In attendance:  Mayor Mark Gaffino, Trustee Jason Christiansen, Trustee Laura Curtis, Trustee Mark Guethle, Trustee Mike Lowery, Trustee Todd Niedzwiedz, Trustee Carolyn Salazar

Staff in attendance:  Finance Director Jason Paprocki, Community Development Director Nathan Darga, Village Attorney Kevin Drendel, Public Works Director Brian Richter, Police Chief Joe DeLeo.

CONSENT AGENDA

1. Village Board Minutes dated 05/20/2024; Committee of the Whole Minutes dated 05/20/2024
2. Bills list dated 06/03/2024 in the Amount of $1,220,274.66
3. Approval of a Resolution Accepting Grant of Easement (Riverfront Ram Dealership)
4. Approval of Social Worker Contract with A.I.D’s Victims Services in the Amount of $35,000.00

Motion for approval made by Trustee Lowery and seconded by Trustee Salazar. Roll Call Vote:  Trustee Salazar – yes Trustee Christiansen – yes, Trustee Curtis –yes, Trustee Guethle – yes, Trustee Lowery – yes, Trustee Niedzwiedz – yes. Motion approved (6-0).

NEW BUSINESS

1. Approval of Ordinance Amending Title 15 of the North Aurora Code of Ordinances Regarding Development Fees

Community Development Director Darga reminded the Village Board that they had previously discussed the agenda item at the last Committee of the Whole meeting and he offered a recap of the discussion.  He stated that the amendment would move all of the fees into one section, cleans up errors and missing items, modernized all of the fees placing them into charts, and updates the fees themselves.

Motion for approval made by Trustee Curtis and seconded by Trustee Niedzwiedz. Roll Call Vote:  Trustee Curtis –yes, Trustee Guethle – yes, Trustee Lowery – yes, Trustee Niedzwiedz – yes, Trustee Salazar – yes, Trustee Christiansen – yes. Motion approved (6-0).
