VILLAGE OF NORTH AURORA
POLICE COMMISSION MEETING
July 12, 2023, at 18:30 hrs.
Call To Order
A motion was presented by Chairperson Hatchet to commence this 3rd Quarter Open Meeting for 2023 for the Village of North Aurora Police Commission and a second motion was made by Commissioner Jungels; the meeting commenced at 18:30 hrs. – All in favor.
Roll Call
Commissioners present: Chairperson Lisa Hatchet, Commissioner Phil Jungels and Commissioner Brian Reid.
Old Business
1. Approve meeting minutes from the 2nd Quarter 2023 open NAPD Police Commission meeting held on 12-Apr-2023. All commissioners, in favor.
2. No other Old Business.
New Business
1. The Commissioners were advised that Patrol Officer Candidate Erik Alexander passed both the independent Psychological and Polygraph examinations. However, candidate Alexander has yet to update his application for PHQ – No military Supervisors updates, No College or Employment history. His PHQ was further updated by Candidate Alexander on 09-Jul-2023, however it was still missing data when last reviewed by The Commission. Candidate Alexander has continually failed to update his applications after repeated requests by the Commission. Also, his Guardian data is not up to date to date as required. The Commission has given Candidate Alexander ample time with a concise timeline to complete these necessary background requests. This has resulted in The Commission unanimously failing him from further consideration of employment. All in Favor.
2. Police Officer Candidates Cambell and Jannick will be notified by The Commission by the end of the week that they rank #1 and #2 respectively on the current NAPD Patrol Officer Candidate list of eligibility.
3. Patrol Officer Candidates Joshua Campbell and Conner Jannick are scheduled for their Polygraph examinations on 13-Jul-2023.
4. No further new business.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Chairperson Hatchett, this motion was seconded by Commissioner Jungels; all in favor – Motion Approved. The Open Meeting adjourned at 19:03hrs.
