2025 North Aurora Days
The Committee discussed North Aurora Days sponsorship items. Community Relations Coordinator Natalie Stevens updated the Committee on the revamped website and how the plan was to utilize it more for promotional items.
The Committee also discussed banners/signs to be displayed at the park during the event and about the banners that hang on State Street Bridge. Stevens explained how given the parameters of the banners the sponsorship signs cannot be widened, but said she could put together some options on how longer signs could work to increase visibility.
The Committee discussed various entertainments and determined that some events, like the puppy parade, would be better off as a separate event. The Committee talked about options like a dunk tank and various inflatable attractions. They also discussed the location of the video gaming truck and thought it might work best at the top of the hill in the shuttle drop off zone.
Julie Shoemaker informed that the fishing derby age groups would be changing to 5-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15.
The Committee discussed golf carts for transport and the possibility of getting radios/walkie-talkies for volunteers to be able to easily check in and coordinate throughout the event. They also discussed having a standardized path for golf cart drop offs for safety.
With nothing further to discuss the Committee made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:07 pm.
Motion to Adjourn: All in Favor
Respectfully submitted,
Natalie Stevens
