CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Berman called the meeting to order.

Murray.
Staff in attendance: Assistant to the Village Administrator Wes Kornowske, Finance Director
Bill Hannah, Community Development Director Scott Buening, Public Works Superintendent
Mike Glock, Water Superintendent Paul Young, Village Engineer Jim Bibby, Police Chief Tom
Fetzer, Fire Department Representative Ryan Lambert, Village Attorney Kevin Drendel.

PUBLIC HEARING
1. Public Hearing on the Annexation of property located at 309-313B North
Lincolnway – Mayor Berman opened the public hearing. There were no comments. Mayor
Berman then closed the public hearing.
DISCUSSION
1. Public Hearing on the Annexation of property located at 309-313B North
Lincolnway
Community Development Director Scott Buening said that the properties are located between the
Fox River and Fox River Bike Trail. This parcel is a surrounded parcel and the Village can do
an involuntary annexation. The Village asked the property owner to voluntarily annex but the
owner has not responded to the letters sent by the Village. If the property is annexed, it will be
zoned in the ER Estate Residential district. Buening said that since the building permit has
already been issued by Kane County, the Village will have to honor that as a grandfather
situation, but any other modifications will be subject to Village ordinances.
Atty. Drendel said that counsel for the homeowner called him, questioning the Village’s
authority to take action, but did not realize that the park district property had been annexed.
Buening said that Goblet is the major land owner (owns 4 parcels), one of the parcels is owned
by Thomas Sperry and the other two are owned by Nigel and David Dance.

Motion made by Trustee Mancini and seconded by Trustee Guethle to adjourn the meeting. All
