VILLAGE BOARD MEETING

CALL TO ORDER
Village President Hansen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
In attendance: Village President Hansen, Village Trustee Berman, Trustee Herlihy, Trustee Strusz, Trustee Gaffino, Trustee Mitchell, Trustee Herwig.
Staff in attendance: Village Administrator Sue McLaughlin, Management Analyst Wes Kornowske, Building Commissioner DeWayne Williams, Public Works Superintendent Mike Glock, Village Engineer Jim Bibby, Police Chief Tom Fetzer, Fire Bureau Chief Mark Bozik.
AUDIENCE COMMENTS
Mike Apell, 610 Pinewood Drive, North Aurora – regarding the Sycamore Blvd. improvements, Mr. Apell asked when the traffic study was done and who authorized the study. Apell said that the stop sign should be moved to Cherrytree.
Jennifer Duncan, 1558 Patterson Ave., North Aurora – Mrs. Duncan, who is a member of the Delphi Committee, asked if she could get a copy of the plans for the new playground area and gathering place on Island Park. A concern is the design. The Delphi Committee is in the process of having a study done. Village President Hansen said that the playground equipment is being moved further southward and the equipment will be upgraded to safety standards. Trustee Berman said that the Fox Valley Park District has planned this for quite a while and that it is well needed. Village President Hansen suggested Duncan speak to Jeff Palmquist at the FVPD. Village Administrator Sue McLaughlin said she could get a copy of the plan for Duncan.
