1. Discussion on Additional Ash Tree Removal
Village Administrator Steve Bosco explained that the Village is in the process of eliminating 300 Ash trees. There are approximately 900 dead trees in the parkways and the estimated cost to remove the 1200 trees would be $126,000. Bosco said that the cost per tree under current contract is $110/per tree and the estimate of $126,000 is at a cost of $140/tree.

In terms of replacement of the trees, Bosco said that staff would want to come back to the Public Facilities Committee on September 8th with a proposal to replant the trees. The average cost to plant the trees would be $250,000 – $275,000. This would be in addition to the $126,000.
