APRIL 30, 2014
MINUTES
Call to Order
Meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.
Present were Mark Gaffino, Robyn Stecklein, Jim Laughead, Doug Botkin, Steven Bosco, Bill Hannah, Bob Strusz, Jeff Johns, Sarah Deer, Anise Hesson, and Maryann Hupp.
Approval of Minutes
Robyn Stecklein made a motion to approve the Jan. 29, 2014 North Aurora Days Committee
Minutes seconded by Sarah Deer. Motion was approved unanimously.
Discussion
Randall Square was sold – brings up question of where we may hold the fireworks.
Clocktower property may be sold. We have an agreement for the Clocktower property, therefore we should be able to hold the fest there again this year. Mark Gaffino will follow up with the new owners of the property.
The bands are picked out and set for both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday band will be Boom Shaka Laka and Back County Road. Saturday bands will be Alter Ego and Joe Friday and the Dragnets.
We will start at noon on Saturday. Possibility of a High School Band. Lions Club will check into holding Bingo from approximately 9am-noon.
There will be wristbands sold for $1.00 – proceeds will go to the North Aurora Day Fund.
There will not be a garage sale the same weekend as North Aurora Days, but possibly a community garage sale on another weekend.
Jackie Johnson will take over the handling of the Ice Cream eating contest.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55p.m.
