Do you think your property has the most holly, jolly display? Is your light game sparkling? We want to hear from you for the Village’s Holiday Decoration Property Recognition Contest!
The program seeks to recognize residential homes that have decorated for the winter holidays and will be judged by the Beautification Committee on overall holiday theme, creativity and aesthetic. Property owners can nominate their own properties or another home in the community from November 27 —December 16 at 3:00 pm. The Beautification Committee will judge all nominated properties for first, second and third place distinctions and you, the community, will have your chance to cast your vote for the Community Choice award for your favorite home!
Judging will take place on the evenings of December 16—December 19, so a friendly reminder that if you are participating please make sure all holiday décor is out and lights are on and working for our judges! The Community Choice category will take place during the same timeframe on the Village’s Facebook page. Winners will be announced for all awards on December 20. Overall Rules:
- Property must be located within the Village of North Aurora
- You may nominate your own or someone else’s property you feel deserves recognition
- ONLY ONE NOMINATION per address please. The Beautification Committee will be judging properties based on criteria; not number of submissions
