NORTH AURORA DAYS COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY, JULY 18, 2016
MINUTES

Call to Order
Mark Gaffino called the meeting called to order at 5:36pm. Attached is the sign in sheet with all who were present.

Attendance
Mark Gaffino, Steve Bosco, Bill Hannah, Robyn Stecklein, Doug Botkin, Chris Faber, Sarah Deer, Mike Glock, Jeff Johns, Rhonda Klecz, Dale Berman, Maryann Hupp, Nicole Ferrier, Brenda English, Krista Harvey, and Tom Brooks.

Approval of Minutes
The minutes from the June 20, 2016 meeting were presented at this meeting. A motion was made to approve the minutes by Sarah Deer, seconded by Robyn Stecklein. All in favor – motion passed unanimously.

Discussion
Bob Strusz stated Euclid raised their prices approximately $4-5 per keg. No Summer Shanti this year. Will switch to a Grapefruit Shanti. Bob said they are ready to go.

Sarah Deer stated that she ordered 10 cases of Pinot Grigio and 10 cases of Merlot wine.

Bill Hannah stated that we have received $40,000 in sponsorship which is about $4,000 more than last year. Total revenues are up.

Jeff Johns stated that touch a truck is coming along. A few new vehicles. Mark Gaffino is hoping to get a North Aurora Police vehicle or two.

Steve Bosco stated the mosquito spraying is set up.

Mark Gaffino stated that we will have the Emergency Vehicle Parade. He has been working with Mike Weaver. They will take the old route, but go thru at Oak Street to Randall. Mark also requested that NAPD send out the press release and NIXLE regarding traffic and road closures. Mark Guethle will be in charge of garbage again.

Tom Brooks said the pet parade is going well. Should be ready to go.

Doug Botkin state that he is set to advertise in the Kane Co Chronicle – in kind sponsorship.

Nicole Ferrier wants to make sure that there are volunteers from the Village to help with the wristband/I.D. tent. Mark Gaffino stated that should not be a problem.

Maryann Hupp stated that the Car Show is set and should be pretty much the same as last year. She said the website needed to be updated for this event. Chris Faber will check that out.

Brenda English will take over the softball tournament. She requested the waiver forms.

Mike Glock stated that the generators will be in the same places as last year.

Rhonda Klecz said the we have 5 carnival type games for the older children on the North side of Oak Street. She will also check on rides with the Game Truck people.

Chris Faber stated that they are set for the 5K/10K run. Banners are needed. Chris also requested access to Mooseheart on Friday morning, along with the picnic tables and registration tables. Robyn will arrange that with Mooseheart. Robyn also inquired about packet pick up from the PD. Chris was not sure of the dates and times. Robyn will follow up with Kari Faber and reserve the Police Community room for the packet pick ups.

Motion to Adjourn
Motion was made to adjourn at 6:18 p.m. by Maryann Hupp, seconded by Bob Strusz. All in favor.
