POLICE COMMISSION MEETING
July 14, 2016 at 18:00 hrs.
CALL TO ORDER
A motion was presented to commence with the scheduled open meeting by Commissioner Winscott and a second by Chairman Jungels; the meeting commenced at 18:00 hrs.
ROLL CALL
In Attendance: Chairman Phil Jungels and Commissioners Rodd Winscott and Brian Reid.
OLD BUSINESS
• Approval of NAPD Commission meeting minutes from 14-Apr-2016 – open meeting. All present in favor.
• The Commissioners acknowledged that letters of refusal were sent to Patrol Officer Candidates in April 2016 that failed their background checks.
• No other old business
NEW BUSINESS
• The Commissioners discussed the resignation of NAPD Officer J. Redmond occurring on 10-Jul-2016. The resignation was accepted by Chief Summer effective the same day.
• The Commissioner’s reviewed the next five eligible Patrol Officer Candidates from the eligibility list. The names of those candidates were forwarded to NAPD Detectives for background checks and oral interviews.
• No Other new business.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Commissioner Winscott to adjourn the meeting this motion was seconded by Commissioner Reid; all in favor; Motion Approved. Open Meeting adjourned at 18:30hrs.
