NOVEMBER 17, 2014

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Berman called the meeting to order.

In attendance: Mayor Dale Berman, Trustee Laura Curtis, Trustee Mike Lowery, Trustee Mark Carroll, Trustee Mark Gaffino, Trustee Mark Guethle, Village Clerk Lori Murray. Not in attendance: Trustee Chris Faber.

Staff in attendance: Village Administrator Steve Bosco, Finance Director Bill Hannah, Community & Economic Development Director Mike Toth, Village Engineer Jim Bibby, Village Attorney Kevin Drendel, Water Superintendent Paul Young, Public Works Superintendent Mike Glock, Police Chief David Summer.

TRUSTEE COMMENTS
Trustee Gaffino recommended the Village Board give Staff direction to look into replacing the Activity Center in some capacity. Gaffino suggested a facility that would provide a place for Friday Nite Spot, for seniors and for the youth of the community.

3. Approval of a Resolution Acknowledging Substantial Completion Triggering the One-year Maintenance Period and Bond Reduction for the Mitchell Road Improvements

4. Approval of a Resolution Acknowledging Substantial Completion Triggering the One-year Maintenance Period and Reduction of Letter of Credit for Underground and Orchard Gateway Improvements for the Opus Development in North Aurora Towne Centre

5. Approval of Pay Request No. 1, Partial to Gerardi Sewer & Water Company in the Amount of $298,670.40 for the 2014 Rear Yard Watermain Relocations

VILLAGE PRESIDENT REPORT
Mayor Berman said that the Village had a very nice memorial celebration on Tuesday and a very good turnout of residents and elected officials.

ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT
Steve Bosco said Staff will start looking at the strategic plan for a new activity center location and bring back ideas to the Board for general discussion.

ATTORNEY’S REPORT – None

VILLAGE DEPARTMENT
1. Finance – None
2. Community Development – None
3. Police – None
4. Public Works – A question was asked about getting Airport Road classified in order to get funding. Village Engineer Jim Bibby said that Airport Road to Alder to Ice Cream Drive has been reclassified and will now be eligible for STP Grant Funding This has gone through state approval and now awaiting federal approval.
5. Water – None
