CALL TO ORDER 8:45
Mayor Berman called the meeting to order
ROLL CALL
In attendance: Mayor Dale Berman, Trustee Mike Herlihy, Trustee Chris Faber, Trustee Mark Guethle, Trustee Bob Strusz, Trustee Mark Gaffino, Trustee Vince Mancini, Village Clerk Lori Murray.
Staff in attendance: Chief Administrative Officer Wes Kornowske, Finance Director Bill Hannah, Community Development Director Scott Buening, Water Superintendent Paul Young, Public Works Superintendent Mike Glock, Police Chief Tom Fetzer, Village Attorney Kevin Drendel.
1. DISCUSSION ON A SPECIAL USE FOR USED CAR SALES AT 10 S. LINCOLNWAY– Scott Buening informed the Board that this was discussed at the June 1st Plan Commission meeting. The Board decided they would have a hard time approving this item without reviewing the Plan Commission’s findings. Motion made by Trustee Herlihy and seconded by Trustee Mancini to table the item to the next Committee of the Whole meeting pending receipt of the approved plan commission minutes and input from Teska. Voice Vote – yes – unanimous.
2. DISCUSSION ON SUPPORT FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A 2010 ILLINOIS TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR ROUTE 31 IMPROVEMENTS
Wes Kornowske said that the 2010 Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program is way to get funds for the burial of the utility lines along Route 31. The Village Board suggested moving forward with the process. To be placed on the agenda for the next Village Board meeting on August 16th.
EXECUTIVE SESSION – Probable Litigation
Motion to adjourn to Executive Session for the purpose of probable litigation. Motion made by Trustee Guethle and seconded by Trustee Herlihy. All in favor. Motion approved.
