PUBLIC HEARING

1. Public Hearing on an Involuntary Annexation at 3S333 and 3S322 Deerpath Road
Mayor Berman opened the public hearing. Scott Buening said that both properties are completed surrounded by the Village limits. One of the property owners was agreeable to annexing and the other was reserved in annexing. There were no public comments. Mayor Berman closed the public hearing.

DISCUSSION

1. Discussion on an Involuntary Annexation at 3S333 and 3S322 Deerpath Road
Consent Agenda.

2. Discussion on Partial Pay Request No. 2 in the amount of $23,980.50 and Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $6,459.99 to Gerardi Water and Sewer for the 2009 Watermain Project

3. Discussion on the Village of North Aurora Holiday Schedule for Calendar Year 2010
-Wes Kornowske noted that New Year’s Day falls on a weekend (Saturday 2011). Per the personnel policy manual, the Village celebrates holidays on the preceding Friday. That would then give the Village 13 holidays in 2010, however the 13th holiday would actually be a 2011 holiday.

-Scott Buening suggested a couple of days that the Village Hall would be closed to the public for cleanup days for Village employees. Those days would be spent cleaning, moving files and organizing. Mayor Berman said the concept was a good one. Trustee Mancini said he was not in favor of closing down the office to the public but liked the idea of cleaning up and organizing. Trustees Gaffino and Faber agreed and suggested at least one person be available at the front desk while the rest of the people do the cleaning and organizing. Trustee Faber said he has done this at previous jobs and it has worked out well.

Consent agenda for the new holiday schedule. Trustee Herlihy suggested making the holiday schedules for 2010 and 2011 together.

4. Discussion on Timber Oaks Subdivision Sign Design
Wes Kornowske said the Village levied for design and construction of the Timber Oaks monument sign at the entrance of the subdivision. Work has begun with R&B Associates on the design of the sign. Preliminary concept design was provided for review. Kornowske asked to revise the foundation depth to 48 inches rather than 5’6”. R&B said that was a typo and would be changed. Cost estimate is $14,500.
