COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING
MAY 18, 2009
CALL TO ORDER – 7:00 p.m.
In the absence of Mayor Berman, Trustee Gaffino called the meeting to order.
ROLL CALL
In attendance: Trustee Gaffino, Trustee Mancini, Trustee Herlihy, Trustee Strusz, Trustee Faber. Not in attendance: Mayor Berman, Trustee Guethle.
Staff in attendance: Assistant to the Village Administrator Wes Kornowske, Finance Director Bill Hannah, Public Works Superintendent Mike Glock, Water Superintendent Paul Young, Village Engineer Jim Bibby, Police Chief Tom Fetzer, Village Atty. Kevin Drendel, Fire District representative Ryan Lambert.
TRUSTEE COMMENTS
Trustee Mancini mentioned the email regarding vandalism in Mooselake Estates. Chief Fetzer said that the group of individuals responsible for the vandalism was caught.
Trustee Herlihy mentioned that the grading of lots had begun in Mooselake Estates but had stopped. Herlihy also noted that some lots were graded well and others still needed to be graded so that the lot does not become a pond when it rains. Residents are wondering when the work will be finished.
DISCUSSION
1. Discussion of Pay Request No. 1 in the amount of $193,473.90 for the 2008 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation – Consent Agenda.
2. Discussion of 2009 North Aurora Fireworks Show Vendor – Trustee Gaffino said the Village went out for bid for the fireworks show. This year’s show is planned for the Clock Tower with fireworks being shot off from the North Aurora Towne Center. The Board questioned the number of fireworks offered in the Johnny Rockets bid. Trustee Gaffino said he would go back to Johnny Rockets and confirm the information and bring that back to the Board at the next meeting. New Business.

Motion made by Trustee Herlihy and seconded by Trustee Strusz to adjourn the meeting. All in favor. Motion approved.
