TRUSTEE COMMENTS
Trustee Strusz mentioned that he is still concerned about the watering ban and that he has seen residents that continue to water after 9:00 p.m. on the weekends. DeWayne Williams said that the evening code enforcement officer has been working until 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. on weekdays, but that the police handle the weekend violators. Strusz said that he made a call to the police department at 10:00 p.m. Saturday night and stayed up until 11:30 p.m., but got no response.
Trustee Gaffino said that the weekends need to be addressed and that he, too, has witnessed continued watering violations.
Trustee Herwig said he was very concerned about the construction company working on the sewers in town. Herwig said that ditches and equipment are left unprotected. Herwig mentioned that a lot of work is being done on Candlewick Court and that the workers are driving very fast in the area. Herwig said that many areas should be barricaded with flashing lights. Herwig said that there are easily 27 OSHA violations and he is concerned about liability to the Village and safety to residents. Mike Glock said that a meeting was scheduled for tomorrow and that changes would be implemented and barricades installed.
