The Village of North Aurora is partnering with Kane County Recycles to host an Electronic Recycling Event in North Aurora! On Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 9am – 12pm you can safely recycle electronics, clothing and shoes, home textiles (i.e. bedding, pillowcases) and books (a full list is linked below). All items, other than televisions/monitors, can be recycled for FREE! (Please note that batteries cannot be recycled at this event.) Items can be dropped off at the North Aurora Police Department parking lot; please be sure to follow all posted signs for drop-off!
The cost to recycle televisions/monitors is as follows:
🟢$25 per item for screens under 21 inches (measured diagonally)
🔵$35 per item for screens 21 inches or over (measured diagonally)
🟤Fees do not apply to items with a built-in screen (e.g. laptops, tablets, smart phones, e-readers, etc.)
