Dedication of Rs SPC Christopher Patterson Memorial Highway

Join the community on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the northeast corner of Route 31 and State Street in North Aurora for the official unveiling of road signs renaming IL Rt 31 as it passes through the community of North Aurora in memory of SPC Christopher Patterson.
SPC Patterson grew up in North Aurora and was a resident in January of 2012 when he lost his life in Afghanistan. Serving with the Indiana National Guard 713th Engineering Company in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Patterson along with 3 other guardsman lost his life January 6, 2012 from injuries sustained from an IED. The State of Illinois, in 2016, passed a resolution renaming Route 31 in his honor.
Please come celebrate with family, friends and dignitaries as Route 31 is dedicated as SPC Christopher Patterson Memorial Highway. Join us as we remember this fine young man and honor his memory.
