Mayor Mark Gaffino issued a proclamation at the last Village Board meeting declaring tomorrow, September 17, as “It’s Our Fox River Day!”
It’s Our Fox River Day seeks to recognize the importance of the Fox River for our area and supports events that honor and celebrate the life and well-being of the Fox River.
In recognition of this day, Village staff across all departments joined together this afternoon to pick up trash along the Fox River in North Aurora Riverfront Park and along both east and west portions of the Fox River Trail. We picked up ~10 garbage bags full of trash! Way to go everyone for taking care of our community!
