Messenger Public Library Closed; Information on Renewals and Digital Services

From the Messenger Public Library:

Hello, Messenger Library of North Aurora patrons and residents of the Village of North Aurora.

In response to Governor Pritzker’s stay-at-home order, the Messenger Public Library has been CLOSED since Monday March 16th 2020 and will remain CLOSED until further notice. We will re-open on a date to be determined upon the stay-at-home order being lifted and adjust our plan as the situation develops.

For updates, follow us on social media Facebook or visit the Messenger Public Library website.

All Library sponsored programs for all ages, events and community meetings held at the library and all library room reservations are cancelled indefinitely and until further notice.

We ask that you keep all materials. Please don’t leave materials in book drops. We will automatically renew your items. No need to return items until further notice. No fines will be charged during this time.

We recognize the need for our customers to access digital content right now and are currently focusing our resources towards digital content via our NEW Digital Library Branch onlineWe are working hard to bring you materials that you want and need during this time.

Patrons current library card accounts will renew automatically in terms of the expiration date. If you need a library card please apply online for a digital card here.

Stay in place and stay well, my Library Board of Trustees, the Library Staff and I will see you on “the other side” of the pandemic.

Sincerely, Kevin Davis, Library Administrator
