Construction Project Updates November 22, 2019

Construction Project Updates will be suspended until Spring 2020 Construction Season begins or until significant events occur with the below projects.  Residents that wish for updates on specific projects can contact Public Works for additional information at 630.897.8228.

Well Number 8  & 9 Transmission Mains
Staff has met with the contractor to discuss alternative construction options and schedule impacts. The revised completion date has been identified as January 1, 2020

Well Number 8 & 9 Pumps and Motors
Contracts have been signed and the next step will be to approve shop drawings and getting the equipment ordered. The anticipated completion date of this project is mid-February 2020.

Well Number 8 & 9 Well Building (Site Work)
Staff met with the contractor H Linden and Sons to discuss the project schedule. Site work may begin this year on the Well 9 site.

Well Number 8 & 9 Well Building (Electrical).
Staff met with the contractor Frank Marshall Electric on November 5, 2019 to discuss schedule and coordination with the site contractor.

Sullivan Road Water Main
This week the water main will be flushed clean, pressure tested, chlorinated, and samples drawn for testing prior to putting it back in service.

2018 Street Improvements
Asphalt core samples and soil borings were collected on Friday November 1, 2019. Staff is awaiting the analysis from the consulting engineer.

2019 Street Improvements
This project has been suspended, any outstanding punch list or other items will be addressed in spring.

Silo
The Village is meeting with its design team the week of December 1, 2019 to review design alternatives.

LED’s
The project began this week in Timber Oaks and Tanner Trails with the installation of the LED lights.  The project is on schedule to be completed December 1, 2019.

Tree Planting Program
The tree planting program began on Tuesday November 19, 2019.  Staff has placed white flags in the parkway denoting the locations of the proposed trees.   Approximately 38 trees have been planted so far.  The project should be completed next week.
