Construction Project Updates July 26, 2019
Well Number 8 & 9 Transmission Mains
Patnick Construction has completed the Well 9 Transmission mains. The Well #8 transmission main installation project is suspended until the project site dries out. Our consulting engineer has been in discussions with Patnick.
Well Number 8 & 9 Pumps and Motors
The Village is seeking bids for the installation of pumps and motors for the newly drilled wells. The Village will be receiving bids on August 14, 2019. A recommendation will be presented to the Village Board for action at their August 19, 2019 Board meeting.
Well Number 8 & 9 Well Building and Electrical

2019 Street Improvements
- Summerwind: East Victoria Circle and Hidden Creek Avenue.
Miscellaneous storm sewer repairs and restorations were completed and will continue next week. More substantive construction operations will resume following North Aurora Days.
- Orchard Crossings: Westbury Circle, Forest Ridge Drive, Alexandra Court, Oakland Circle, Waterford Road, Fechner Circle, Messenger Circle, Hartsburg Lane, Hawksley Lane, Whalen Court, and Ritter Street
Miscellaneous storm sewer repairs and restorations were completed and will continue next week. More substantive construction operations will resume following North Aurora Days.
- Waterford Townhomes: Waterford Road, Kathryn Lane, and Arbington Lane.

Pavement Patching has been marked out in white paint.
- Deerpath and Orchard Gateway: Intersection Repair (North Leg)
The contractor has called in JULIE locates for this location and the contractor has requested staking information from the consulting engineer. It is likely that the underground repairs to the storm sewer will begin shortly at this location.

Pavement Striping
The Pavement Striping Project on Randall, Orchard Gateway, Grant and multiple railroad crossings was completed on Thursday July 25, 2019.
Sanitary Sewer Televising and Cleaning
National Power Rodding has been in town cleaning and televising sanitary sewers on the south side of town near Sullivan Road. As they discover problems with a pipe they relay the information to the Village to address the problem. On rare occasions this can cause water to spout out of toilets, sinks, and bath tubs. Please report this to the Village if it occurs in your home. This project should be complete next week.
Silo
Bids were opened on July 12, 2019 and will be considered by the Village Board on August 5, 2019.
LED’s
The Village is letting a contract to install 327 LED lights and 17 poles. The pre-bid meeting was held on Tuesday July 23, 2019, bidders must be present at this meeting to submit a bid. The bids will be received and opened on Wednesday July 31, 2019. A recommendation will be presented to the Village Board on August 5, 2019 for action. The completion date for this project is December 15, 2019.
Tree Planting Program
The Village will be letting a contract for furnishing and installing 100- 3” trees. Bid documents were posted on the village web site starting July 24, 2019. The bids will be received and opened on Monday August 26, 2019. A recommendation will be presented to the Village Board at their September 2, 2019 Board meeting. The project has a completion date of November 1, 2019
