1. Discussion on Backyard Water Main Relocation/Service Connections (Adams, Grace and Roberts)
Water Superintendent Paul Young informed the Board that Staff met with Rempe Sharpe and the Village attorney to discuss the backyard water main relocation project. The project will take watermain that runs through the back yards now and running them in the front yards. Discussion focused mostly on engineering and doing plan specs to maintain the rear yard connections.
Should a resident have any sort of hardship, the thought is that the Village will be able to work individually with the resident. The Village will have to acquire exterior construction easements from the residents for a period of 2 years.
Young said that the plan is to have a public meeting before the March 3rd Village Board meeting.
Trustee Guethle asked how many homes would be affected. Young said the project would affect about 29-33 houses.
Motion to adjourn made by Trustee Guethle and seconded by Trustee Lowery. All in favor. Motion approved.
